Juan Antonio Galvez-Buccollini M.D. is a Harvard trained psychiatrist, board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He received his medical degree from Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in Lima, Peru and completed his residency in Psychiatry at Harvard South Shore Psychiatry Residency Training Program in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Galvez-Buccollini is a former visiting scholar in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistic at Michigan State University, Lansing, Michigan. He has extensive experience in clinical research and publications in schizophrenia, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, alcohol use disorder and drug use disorders. Dr. Galvez-Buccollini seeks to establish collaborative relationships with his patients that emphasize education and empower them to make informed decisions about their care. Dr. Galvez-Buccollini is committed to applying evidence-based psychopharmacology and psychotherapy for patients with multiple medical and psychiatric comorbidities. Dr. Galvez-Buccollini has acquired broad experience in the treatment of general psychiatric conditions and takes a particular interest in Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, and Hispanic mental health problems.
