Ashlyn Hankey, M.D.

Adult Psychiatrist

Dr. Lee received his bachelor’s degree in political science with a concentration in political theory at the University of Pennsylvania. After graduating from college, he spent one year at the Abramson Family Cancer Research Institute at the University of Pennsylvania conducting basic science research on the role of micro-RNAs in cancer growth and proliferation. He then attended medical school at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, where he received an MD and an MBE (masters of bioethics).


He wrote his master's thesis on the ethics of organ transplantation in individuals with mental illnesses. He then moved to Los Angeles, where he completed psychiatry residency at the Semel Institute at UCLA. He treats a broad range of mental illnesses including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, trauma, and addiction disorders.
