Dr. Hashmi is a graduate of of the University of Alabama School of Medicine. She received her psychiatric residency training at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Her philosophy of care is to develop a therapeutic relationship based on trust, respect, and mutual decision making. She is fluent in English, Urdu, and Hindi.
Dr. Shahbaz Khan completed his Psychiatry Residency training at the University of Texas, Houston and did his Forensic Psychiatry Fellowship at UCSF/Fresno, California. He speaks Urdu/Hindi and Farsi/Dari (Afghani).
Dr. Shen was born in Taiwan and moved to the United States for undergraduate training at University of Colorado Denver. She then went to medical school and did her psychiatry residency training in Long Island, NY at Nassau University Medical Center and after completing residency she moved to the Bay Area with her husband. Dr. Shen is experienced in general psychiatry specifically in managing depression, bipolar, schizophrenia and anxiety. Dr. Shen also offers psychotherapy for a wide range of patients. Dr. Shen is also fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
Dr. Venkatachalam is a Board Certified Adult Psychiatrist and a member of American psychiatric Association. She obtained her medical degree in year 2006 from Kilpauk Medical College at Chenni, India. She completed her residency in Psychiatry at Loyola University, Chicago in the year 2011. She was awarded a certificate of Achievement in Clinical work.
Dr. Venkatachalam is trained in both psycho pharmacology and psychotherapy and incorporates a balance of the two. She treats psychiatric disorder including Depression, Bipolar disorder, Anxiety, Psychosis and Behavioral problems. In addition to English, she speaks Hindi and Tamil.
